Legal & General America strive to maintain highly competitive term rates throughout the year. Unfortunately, they recently discovered that some of the OPTerm premium rates that were published on April 20, 2020 were higher than intended.
Additional Information:
- The rates have been corrected and are available for quoting via LGA’s WebQuoting system as of April 11, 2020, and on other third-party quote engines soon thereafter.
- The updated rates are the same or lower than the previous rates.
- Any business submitted under the April 2nd rate scale will automatically receive the corrected rates.
- If you have quotes OPTerm since April 2nd, they suggest that you rerun the quotes to see if the premium may be lower.
- The transition period alllowing for the “better of” rate will remian in effect until May 2, 2020.
- The marketing materials associated with the April 2nd rate change remain accurate.
